Information we collect

We only ask for basic personal information (including but not limited to name, address, email, IP address) when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.
We would like to contact you with details of our other services we believe might be of your interest. Your consent for such purpose is needed and will be required (i.e. when signing up to the Community of Practice), if you do consent to us contacting you for this purpose please let us know how you would like to be contacted from the following options: post, email, telephone or text message.
You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
Your continued use of our website will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy and personal information.
Why we need it

We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with marketing materials of services that you might be interested in. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need or that you have not granted us the permission to have.

We use IP addresses to monitor how long a user spends on our website, this helps us to evaluate the use of different parts of the website, and how we can improve our website.
Your anonymity is not affected by our collection of your IP address as there is no link established to identify your identity. However, it is possible for us to attempt to use IP addresses to identify a user when we feel it is necessary to protect our services and other users.

How will we use the information

We collect information about you to process your order, manage your account and, if you agree, to email you about other products and services we think may align with your interest(s). We use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to our website, and give you a better experience on our online interface.
We have a Data Protection Policy in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. We do not share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties (apart from any associates of Facere Melius), except when required to by law.
How long do we keep it

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we will protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
You can unsubscribe from any services you have contracted on our website by either emailing info@facere-melius.org.uk or by calling 07989595237. Once you have requested to be taken off a marketing list then we will dispose of your information safely and securely. It will take 28 days for us to remove you off the marketing list (for non-postal), and a maximum period of 2 months for postal communications.
